APEX BANK TRAINING COLLEGE, BHOPAL
1. Introduction and objective -
In the contemporary time, rapid changes are taking place in all dimensions of human-existence. So, it would be essential to evolve appropriate strategies. One such strategy for goal oriented change is an organized system of training. Training is a conscious effort to improve employee’s skills, power of intelligence and performance.
The Main objective of training is to provide knowledge & skill to human resource working with cooperative banking sector. To achieve this object we are imparting training to the employees of short term cooperative credit structure viz Apex Bank, District Central Cooperative Banks & PACS etc.
2. Infrastructure Available –
ACSTI Bhopal (Apex Bank Training College, Bhopal) started in the year 1985 & constructed its own building in 1992 with hostel and other required facilities. Building of college was constructed under NCDC-III storage project with World Bank assistance. NABARD has started providing financial assistance since 1994. NABARD has supported us to improve the quality of training. Recently we have established a well equipped computer lab to impart computer training. To make training effective we are using modern visual-Aids. We also possess a library for participants & Faculty members.
There is a standing committee to review and approve course calendar and other activities as per SOFTCOB scheme of NABARD.
Besides classroom training in training college campus, it also provides on location & customized training programs to the banks / societies at their head office and at branch level. Along with the main training method i.e., lecture method, training is also provided to the trainees with the help of case study method.
Training college provides the consultancy services to the PACS/Banks on the basis of their demands and along with this; it also prepares the study reports over different subjects/ area.
As per the requirement of the NABARD, highly educated and CTFC qualified faculty members are appointed in the training college. These faculty members are posted in the training college only after having adequate experience in the different District Banks as well in the APEX Bank. Having these specialities of training college Bhopal, it has been accredited for 3 consecutive times since 2012 and was accredited B+ category by upgrading previous C category, by the BIRD, Lucknow; a premiere training institute of NABARD.
3. Main training programmes conducted by college
By keeping the needs of the present time, importance of CORE banking and utility of digitalization, training college organizes one day workshop specifically besides its regular programs. Following are the programs on which one day workshop/ seminars were organized during the year 2015-16 –
1. One day workshop on NPA Management, Income Recognition and Asset Classification.
2. One day (Four) workshops on filing the claims under Interest subsidy for the officers of DCCBs.
3. One day workshop on preventing the Cyber Crimes for the officers of DCCBs.
4. One day workshop on preventing the Cyber Crimes for the officers of SCB.
5. One day on location workshop on compliance of objections during NABARD Inspection for the officers/ employees of DCCB, Panna.
6. One day workshop on e-auction and SARFAESI Act for the officers of SCB.
7. One day on location workshop on Common Accounting System & MIS for the employees of PACS of DCCB, Panna.
8. One day on location workshop on Capacity Building for the Directors & Chairmen of PACS of DCCB, Damoh.
9. One day on location workshop on Depositing the SLR amount into Government Securities for the CEOs of DCCBs at Pachmarhi, Hoshangabad..
On the basis of TNA, training college reviews its training programs on time to time for the three tiers of cooperative credit structure. The programs conducted for the year 2015-16 are as populated –
